Product Description

This postcard shows the Greene Bros.’ ivy-covered tobacco warehouse, built in 1900 at 207 North Academy Street. An addition was constructed between 1902 and 1909, but it burned in 1948.

The tobacco industry began in Rock County in 1853 when Ralph Pomeroy and J.J. Heistand sowed two acres near Edgerton.
