Where Past Meets Present

Tallman Arts Festival Poster Contest Winner

Winner of 2nd Annual Tallman Arts Festival Poster Contest Announced

The Rock County Historical Society is pleased to announce that the 2nd Annual Tallman Arts Festival Poster Contest winner is Kelly Sullivan. Her poster design is the official poster of this year’s Tallman Arts Festival, and it will be used to promote the theme, Art@PLAY.

Tallman Arts Festival Poster Contest Winner Kelly says,

“I wanted to enter the contest because as an artist, I try to do creative projects with my daughter every chance I get. I encourage her to use her imagination and see the beauty that exists around the world. We created the cut paper Indonesian mask together out of small paper paint swatches from the local hardware store. I took a photo of the final art work and created the poster for this competition. I think this is a truly unique and creative expression of what one can do when playing with a bunch of colorful paper swatches on a Sunday afternoon.”

The Tallman Arts Festival will be held on August 7th at the Rock County Historical Society campus (440 N Jackson St, Janesville, WI).
