Product Description

This circa 1895 image presents the Milwaukee Street Bridge, located between the Hayes Block on the left and Bort, Bailey & Company located at 3-5 W. Milwaukee Street. This area was a major commercial hub in the late 19th to early 20th centuries.

The two buildings in the middle are part of the bridge [one the Sutherland Block]. After two devastating fires (1913 and 1942), commercial establishments were not allowed on bridges.
