Product Description

When the Milwaukee Street building became too small, in 1926 the YMCA [Young Men’s Christian Association] built this structure located at the corner of South Franklin & Dodge Street.

Around 1969, the organization remodeled the building and constructed an addition, to house an Olympic-sized swimming pool, exercise rooms, and handball courts.

In 1999, the YMCA joined with the Janesville Boys & Girls Club to add a new facility to the old building that serves members of both groups.
