Overture Volunteer Outing
Enjoy history, companionship, and lunch with fellow Overture Volunteers. RCHS invites you to experience history through the Lincoln-Tallman Museum, a grand, early Victorian home once host to Abraham Lincoln. The RCHS Campus is also home to the Frances Willard Schoolhouse, and the RCHS Museum and Visitor’s Center. Current exhibits include Pickard China, Parker Pen, and the showcase exhibit following the history and legacy of the people of General Motors Assembly, Janesville, Wisconsin.
9:40 AM: Welcome reception in the Tallman Carriage House
10:00 AM: Program “19th Century Wisconsin: The Tallmans and Abraham Lincoln”
10:45 AM: Explore the Lincoln-Tallman Museum and the RCHS Museum and Visitor’s Center.
12:00 PM: Participants are invited to dine in Janesville’s historic downtown. Location to be determined based on attendance.
