Joins us for Art, food, beverages and music on the RCHS campus
Art, food, beverages and music await each Wednesday outdoors at the Tallman Carriage House on the Rock County Historical Society (RCHS) campus, 450 N. Jackson St. in Janesville. The events are planned for August 26 and September 2 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. There is no charge for admission.
Each week features a different artist, who will set up in the Tallman Carriage House with both large, garage-like doors open. The public is invited to view the art – while wearing masks – and enjoy the beautiful grounds of RCHS while remaining socially distant. Picnic tables are available, or people may bring their own blankets or chairs.
Wednesday, August 26: Becky Driscoll, watercolor artist, will display her paintings, notecards and more. Live music by the Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra. Food by Johnny’s Gourmet Street Dogs food truck. Cash bar includes wine, beer and water. $1 off beverages between 4 – 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 2: Marelvi Gaxhaj will display a variety of distinct art, including prints, 3D art and design, handmade gifts and décor, and attire. Food by Stormy’s Grilled Cheese food truck. Live music by the Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra. Cash bar includes wine, beer and water. $1 off beverages between 4 – 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 9: Be sure to join us for our fourth installment of Artrageous Wednesdays featuring artists that would have been with us for our Tallman Arts Festival this year. This week’s featured artist is Amy Weh of Mosaicweh. A sample of her work is shown here or can be seen through her website.
Terrific art, food, cash bar, and live music. A fantastic way to spend a few hours safely on a Wednesday evening!
