Celebrate the Olympics with the Historical Society

The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro are just around the corner and the Rock County Historical Society wants to celebrate. To that end, the Society will be hosting a mini-exhibit about the Olympics located on the main level of the Helen Jeffris Wood Museum Center at the RCHS campus.

The Society will also be holding a presentation called Olympians@PLAY on Thursday, June 2nd starting at 6:30 PM in the lower gallery of the Helen Jeffris Wood Museum Center located at 426 N. Jackson St. Local Olympic expert Rich Fletcher will be on hand to present a little history of the Olympics and will share his thoughts and experiences of past Olympic celebrations. Special guests will also be on hand to share their own expertise.

This is an interactive program that aims to both educate and entertain. Participants are encouraged to ask questions during the program and to build up their Olympic spirit. All are welcome to attend.

While the program is free, there is a suggested donation of $2 a person.
